Cajun Shrimp Boulettes (boo-LETS)
|
Directions
Preheat vegetable oil to 365 degrees. Mix all ingredients. Adjust seasoning as desired. Spray the cavity of the Hush Puppy Maker and paddle with cooking spray, then fill the cavity with boulette mixture. Using the paddle to size your boulettes, slide the mixture into the hot oil or spoon out approximately one level tablespoon. If mixture is too moist to form boulette, add breadcrumbs until desired consistency is achieved.
Drop into the hot oil and fry until golden brown. Transfer to paper towels to drain.

F.A.Q
Q. I currently have a similar product that leaks when using it. Does your product leak?
A. No. The Cajun Flip N Fry has a positive lock top, it will not leak. That is what prompted the slogan “A modern solution to a messy old problem.”
Q. What makes the Flip N Fry so great? I can do the same thing with a plastic or paper bag.
A. Yes, you can use a bag, but one of the reasons I designed the Cajun Flip N Fry is that a bag I was using broke and everything ended up on the floor. Also, when using a bag some of the filets get too much coating. The Flip N Fry keeps your counter and floor clean and coats the filets evenly.
Q. I like to save my fish fry when done.
A. I designed the Flip N Fry to fit in a side by side freezer. If you do not use a egg wash you can save it. When you are finished frying, place the Flip N Fry with the seasoned fish fry in the freezer. When you want to use it again take it out of the freezer about 15 minutes before you start to fry. Run your fingers through the fish fry to remove any ice crystals that may have formed.
Q. I have a competitive product that is so large it takes at least two bags of fish fry to cover the bottom of the bowl. How much fish fry does this product require?
A. The Cajun Flip N Fry needs only one 10-ounce bag of fish fry.
Q. It looks rather small. I host big fish fries and I need to batter large batches at one time.
A. I designed the Flip N Fry to batter eight to ten 8” filets at one time. That is about the same amount a home fryer can accommodate. Let’s say that you have 30 filets to fry, but you can only fry 10 filets at time, you have a problem. While the 10 filets are being fried, the 20 filets just sit there getting wet with moisture mixing with the batter. When you put the next 10 pieces in the hot cooking oil, wet coating falls off the filets going to the bottom and that causes your cooking oil to burn. The Flip N Fry is big enough to batter one pound of 11/15 count shrimp at one time and if you are frying oysters you can batter up to 18 (1½ dozen) at one time
Q. Is the Flip N Fry dishwasher safe?
A. Yes, the bowl and the white insert can go on the bottom rack. The colored top goes on the top rack.
Q. Where is the Flip N Fry manufactured?
A. The Flip N Fry is manufactured in the USA. In fact, it’s manufactured in Louisiana and is classified a “Certified Product of Louisiana” by the Louisiana Department of Agriculture.
Q. Is the Flip N Fry easy to use?
A. It’s simple!
Q. Other models I have seen are big and bulky, all of the pieces have to be placed perfectly together for it to work and you have to have gorilla hands to hold on to it while using. Finally you need to remember which side is up. If you guess the wrong, you have made a mess.
A. If you have ever put a top on a piece of Tupperware, that’s how simple it is. It’s not big and bulky and is so easy to hold on to, even a child could use it. The colored top is always up. What could be easier?
Q. It looks big. Will I have to store this in the garage? I have limited space inside my home.
A. At only 8½” high and 7½” in diameter, it’s not big at all. The actual capacity is 1.25 gallons or 4.7 liters (just a little bigger than a gallon milk jug) but it does a big job.
Q. If I’m not satisfied will you take it back?
A. Yes, the Flip N Fry comes with a 100% guarantee.
